It chaned recently to a new layout/setup and i hate it. how can i change it back?Is there a way to change Windows Live Messager back to the classic layout?
Are you talking about the new Windows Live Messenger 9? If you don't like it the way it is, there are a couple of things you can do.
First, you can go to http://www.msgplus.net/ and download the latest version of Messenger Plus. Messenger Plus is a free program which allows you to customize Windows Live and MSN Messenger however you want. After downloading the program, download some Messenger Skins at this link: http://www.msgplus.net/skins/. You can pick your favourite skin and set it as your Windows Live Messenger layout.
If you are not interested in doing that, you can download the previous version of Messenger that you had. If you remember the version of the Messenger software, you can download it at http://www.download.com/windows/. For example, if the version was 8.5, search Windows Live Messenger 8.5 and see what you can find.
