How do i change windows vista display clone mode?

When setting up my new laptop with my external monitor i selected Clone mode, but now i have decided i don't want that. I want to simply extend my laptop screen onto the other one. How do i get back to the window with all the choices of external display options that it gave at the begining when i first plugged the display in. And i have tried unplugging and replugging the other screen. How do i change windows vista display clone mode?
Depending on what graphics card you've got it might be slightly different but follow these steps:

1. Right click on the desktop

2. Click 'Personalize'

3. Click 'Display Settings' at the bottom of the page that pops up

4. Click 'Advanced Settings' in the form that opens

In the next form that comes up there's several tabs, one of them should be specifically for your graphics card (probably marked Nvidia, ATI, Intel or something like that), you should be able to start the control panel for your card there and change the display mode.

Hope that helps!
