How can I change Windows Vista to Windows XP?

I just bought a computer that has Windows Vista but it will not support some of my hardware. How and where can I get Windows XP?? Preferbly free :)How can I change Windows Vista to Windows XP?
Big problemo.

If you get rid of your Vista and somehow get XP to load, you're going to have to put up with finding a lot of drivers for XP that won't be available easy for your new hardware in the Vista machine.

Then, if you get someones XP, one or both of your is going to be questioned by Micro$oft about the product key. I'd hate to see your friends computer rejected by M$ because they detect two computers with different setups using the same key.

How come a new computer with Vista won't support its own hardware ? Or are you talking about third party hardware you want to hook up to it ?

try to download xp from net or get the cd from some one format ur drive where vista is installed.and now install xp.
If the installation of Vista was upgraded from XP then yes you can revert back to XP. If it came with the computer then you will have to have a full copy of XP in order to install. You are going to have to back up your data to external drive and do a fresh install of XP.
If it's the Business or Ultimate version of Vista, you could do so.

Otherwise, you can download a Linux distro, install over Vista, then install XP over the Linux distro.

Another method is to use Killdisk or DBan.

I thought the same thing when I bought mine . What ever hardware you are trying is just slow to demand. windows vista is new if you can wait there will come a version that is compatable soon. Call around to Computer guys (ask a nerd) the name of one.or Computer outlet that you purchased from could help. As far as xp you have to know someone who has the installation disk for xp and uninstall vistas then download xp but to me thats a waste to your vista program. Your better off having a second computer just to have the xp version .
