How can i change window media player and photo gallery to my default player instead of quicktime player?

i have windows vista home basic. im realy getting annoyed seeing my videos, pictures, and music from quicktime. well usually i listen to music from itunes but it comes up from quicktime when i click on it from my music folder. anyone kno how to make window players default for my videos, music, and pictures?How can i change window media player and photo gallery to my default player instead of quicktime player?
Uninstall Quicktime.

Select the types of file you wish to open with Windows Media Player and then right click on it and then select ';Open with'; options and select the player you wish to open the file with.....this will always open the file with your selected player.



second method is to open the folder which contains the file and then go to ';Tools'; %26gt;%26gt; ';Folder Options'; %26gt;%26gt; select the ';File Types'; tab %26gt;%26gt; select the extension of the file you wish to change the player for %26gt;%26gt; then click the ';change'; button to change the player of the file.....
go to your midia player option and checke it as a default player
